Life's everyday choreography can be felt at moments as extremely freeing, but in fact who we are affects how we move ourselves in specific rooms, and depending in which specific space we are moving in. We go through life along a clear cut path. Only when we deviate from its given geometry and pattern do boundaries become clear. Isa Andersson's crossing between the material and the symbolic in a given space is representative of the everyday obstacles we all face due to social structures. Andersson’s work calls for inner reflection, outer action and leaves us with the question of whether we should align ourselves with forced gendered demarcations or if as individual forces we should challenges them to break new grounds.
